SCDI today launched the largest national initiative for the transformation of the total defense: FORUM Total Defense. The initiative involves both a development program where executives work to enhance their transformation capabilities and an executive doctoral school where new knowledge related to the transformation is developed. The initiative integrates work from Rise-research institutes of Sweden with SCDI, and is nested in the increased need for defense related capabilities in Sweden.
We hope to see a new cohort of PhD students enrolled in the beginning of 2026, and a substantial increase in knowledge and capabilities in the public sector organizations constituting the total defense.
